Taste of Nashville 2012 – Enter contest for two free tickets!

Mark your calendars for November 9th, folks. It’s that time for one of my favorite foodie events of the year – The Phoenix Club of Nashville’s Taste of Nashville.
WHEN: Friday, November 9 at 7:00 pm – Saturday, November 10 at 1:00 am
WHERE: Cannery Ballroom, 1 Cannery Row Nashville, TN 37203
TICKETS: $65 in advance, $70 at the door, $90 VIP and can be purchased here. (You can also see a full list of restaurants at that link)
If you’ve been salivating over The Biscuit Luv Truck‘s light and fluffy southern biscuits, craving Dan’s Gourmet Mac N Cheese, or haven’t made it down to Brentwood to try Gus’ Fried Chicken, have no fear, as you can get your fix at the Cannery Ballroom. And maybe there are a few restaurants you’ve been meaning to try that you haven’t made it out to yet, like Flyte, Silo, or Etch? Now is your chance to try all three of them in one place!
Not to be missed is the stellar collection of libations, brought by many sponsors including my Epicurean Adventure Supper Club partners from Drink Music City, who seem to be everywhere around town! You will be able to try a fine variety of local TN whiskeys including Prichard’s, Collier & McKeel, and Belle Meade Bourbon, as well as moonshine from Short Mountain Distillery, and beers from Jackalope, Fat Bottom, and Blackstone.
This is one of those events that you should be at, because it’s great food, an open bar, and live music! And if you don’t go to it, you’re going to get pretty jealous seeing all of the tweets, facebook updates, instagrams, and blog posts. So do yourself a favor, grab some friends, and take a cab over to the Cannery Ballroom.
And did I mention that 100% of the proceeds go to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee? Cheers to charity!

The best meal used to be the lamb shank at park cafe and the brussel sprout salad at Park cafe, but sadly the lamb is no longer on the menu. Other Nashville loves: the rosemary dark and stormy at Corsair, Gus’s fried chicken, and Hattie B’s banana pudding. Yum!

The best meal I have had in Nashville was from the Delta Bound food truck at Musician’s Corner! I brisket sandwich was perfect and the loaded fries were one of a kind! They had homemade chili, onions, and fresh corn on top.
The best meal I’ve had at a restaurant was at Silly Goose in East Nashville. I love everything about that place and the Sangria is like no other.
